She wasa strategic communications & advocacy consultant and has founded Turquoise River Consultancy. Deepa is available to consult across the countries of Saudi Arabia and India. She speaks on the importance of Strategic Communications & Branding at a variety of forums.
Deepa has led Communications & CSR functions at both Indian & International MNCs and has extensive crises management experience. This included Nissan Group of India, & Mahindra Group Companies – Mahindra Holidays, Mahindra Lifespaces & Mahindra Partners, eBay India and Marico & Kaya Skin Clinic. Over the decade she spent at eBay India, she additionally led a variety of key business roles: Strategic Partnerships, Pop Culture & Collectibles Category Management. Deepa was also responsible for Corporate Communications & Charity for eBay in Philippines & Malaysia between 2010 and 2011. Deepa also worked at 2 PR firms – Clea Public Relations & Good Relations.
She was awarded the Leading Woman in Corporate Communications award in 2013 from IIGlobal and also won the eBay APAC Club Excellence Award in 2012. She was a member of the Sabre South Asia Awards Jury in 2015. She is on the PR Moment PR Guru Expert Panel.
A wildlife & animal lover, Deepa has spent 3 career sabbaticals in Africa volunteering with wildlife non-profits in Kenya, Zimbabwe & Malawi. She continues to be associated with Lilongwe Wildlife Trust, Malawi as a wildlife consultant.
